WHERE AND WHEN? 

 

"Unplugged" just happened in Tel Aviv, 30-Jul-2010.

WHAT? 

 

"Unplugged" looks not back to a world without new media.

"Unplugged" looks rather forward - to a world without wires that bind our freedom of expression.

 

HOW?

 

What does it take to an "Unplugged" performance? Here is an example:

 

1. A wireless USB audio transmitter like the following:

2. A touchscreen computer like the HP TouchSmart tx2:

 

 

3. Freesound Touchpads loaded for play, for example:

TIP: If you want to perform multiple pieces, you can get a DVD with the content. Otherwise the download from the Internet will take a bit too much between the pieces (depends on your moderator skills ;-) 

 

4. Laser pens for the audience and darkness in the room.

 

5. Any (good) stereo system.

 

THE PERFORMANCE

 

1. Divide the ceiling of the room into four quadrants.
2. Play and explain shortly the typical sounds of your 4 windows of the Touchpad.
3. Let the people point to the ceiling with the laser pens and play sounds according to the laser point locations on the Freesound Touchpad.
